One day I met someone who complaints a lot. It was a really tiring moment for me had to listen to this person. The more I got older, apparently I have limited endurance to become a good listener to a such complainer. However, whilst this person was leading most of the conversation, my mind kept telling me about the meaning of this powerful words: be grateful.
Personally I believe, we all have the same chance, we all could come up with at least ONE reason to be grateful in a day. This means, at the end of the year, we all will have 365 reasons to be grateful. It’s not a really hard good habit to start, right? So, move over complainers!
Anyhow, the journey of my life has been taught me a lot. One of the big lessons came from a verse from the Holy Quran (Chapter 54:35): “As a Grace from Us: Thus do We reward those who give thanks.”. As I started to practice this verse in my daily life, I realized how blessed I am.
Needless to say more, here are some friendly reminders….
Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.
We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.
God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?”
