Today, most Canadians and Americans celebrate the Mother’s Day.
In Indonesia, we celebrate our own Mother’s Day on December 22.
Since I have two great mothers who live in Indonesia and Canada, I celebrate both dates. I considered myself as a lucky girl. They both are wonderful moms that a daughter could have. I keep on reminding myself for not just be grateful on those special days only, but everyday for the blessing I got for having two great mothers in my life.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mama Yuri and Mom Loretta.
I love you everyday!
Happy Mother’s Day to all moms who read this. May you have a blissful motherhood journey. I know being a mother is not easy, it’s a 24/7 job and it demands a full dedication of your body and soul. Just like what my sister posted on her Facebook’s wall a month ago:
Hi friends… If you ask, “Do I work?” Yes, I work 24 hours a day. Why? Because I am a Mommy, and that makes me an alarm clock, a cook, a maid, a teacher, a nanny, a nurse, a security officer, a photographer, a counselor, a chauffeur, an ATM, a jungle gym & a comforter. I work through day & night, on call at any hours. I dont get holiday, sick day or day off. Even though I don’t get paid, Im proud of being a Mom!
As for me, I’m always a mother in my heart 🙂
I stumbled to this statement couple weeks ago and the sentiment is so true.
At 3yrs ” Mommy I love you.”
At 10yrs ” Mom, whatever.”
At 16yrs ” My Mom is so annoying.”
At 18yrs ” I wanna leave this house.”
At 25yrs ” Mom you were right.”
At 30yrs ” I wanna go to Mom’s house.”
At 50yrs ” I dont want to lose my Mom.”
At 70yrs ” I would give up everything for my Mom to be here with me.”
Post this to your wall if you appreciate and love your Mom.
